hey there!
just got back from mission trip =) it was really awesome and rewarding. the kids really apreciated our company. we offered medical and dental care to them. we went with 3 doctors (uncle junior, auntie pik onn and auntie huiling) and 1 dentist (uncle anthony). so we just played with the kids, gave out presents and health packs to them. oh, and we had to sing and dance, ugh. oh well, we did it for God so its ok. oh yes! and we have balloons too! =)
it felts really good doing something meaningful in my life but then their are those sad moments when you see patients that have cancer or HIV. which is what we saw. these 2 ladies had cancer and HIV respectively. of course we tries praying for them. we're hoping God will do a miracle in their lives =) but then there were also the happy healings! there was this man whose legs were so stiff, they were locked in a sitting position. so we prayed very hard for him and suddenly he started rotating his ankles! then his knees! then!!! he stood up from his chair. that was the most rewarding sight i could have ever asked for in that mission trip.
we travelled to 4 different villages and all were equally great! =) the people live such simple lives, even the smallest form of technology amazes them! and they're always smiling! it makes you feel so good too! then you smile! =) they were basically a bundle of fun.
food wise was pretty good. except for spicy foods. for those meals, i kinda starved. then i got gastric. haha, but its okay! i was better after that. but not everybody recovered as fast as i did. daniel had a really bad bulk of fever and diarrhea. but thank God it only hit him on the last day of our mission trip. but he missed out on all the shopping we did after that. =( lucky for him, we bought him stuff! =) and his mummy also missed out on shopping. but we got her stuff too! =) so everythings okay! =)
we arrived back in singapore on monday morning, late morning. i came home, unpacked briefly, had a light lunch and whooshed off to training! evil evil training. jessica lim si ying hit my with her stinkin pitch AGAIN! it really hurts. and i just found out that im sick. cough, sore throat and ear infection. don't ask me how i didn't know i was sick, cos i don't know.
