Cousin elliot came over on Friday to bake with me :) we were hoping to bake a really nice cake or pie. we found a nice recipe for a cake? but I guess we must had messed up some where for it to turn out the way it did. hahahahaha. mum says that it was cos we didn't use an electronic whisk to whisk our eggs. but we don't have one? hahahahahaha. it was disaapointing. but the baking was so much fun.
okay, so we started off with the retarded eggs. see how HARD elliot is trying to whisk it until it becomes "thick and pale"?
so we gave up and continued with other things, like flour,
and cream
but we had to go back to the eggs eventually. see how fast I'M whisking it?
then I did all the washing up. elliot on the other hand, was smearing left over mix and whipped cream on my hands. it was the best.....
our lovely sponge cake baking in the oven :)
but it turned out badly. after we cut it into half, we realised that the middle wasn't cooked properly. we baked each side for another 15 minutes or so in 5 sets of 3 minutes cos we were afraid to burn it. elliot was really depressed about out uncooked cake
when it FINALLY finished baking, we could put on our jam and cream!! :)
